Connecticut Play3 Lottery

Play3 is a daily numbers game played in Connecticut. Players choose three digits, each from 0 to 9, and select a play type. Drawings are held twice daily, at midday and evening.

How to Play:

1. Pick three numbers, each from 0 to 9. You can pick the same number more than once.
2. Choose your play type:
• Straight: Match all three numbers in the exact order drawn.
• Box: Match all three numbers in any order. There are 3-way boxes (when two numbers are the same, e.g., 121) and 6-way boxes (when all three numbers are different, e.g., 123).
• Straight/Box: A combination of straight and box plays. If your numbers qualify for both a straight and box win, you win both prizes.
• Front Pair: Match the first two numbers in the exact order drawn.
• Back Pair: Match the last two numbers in the exact order drawn.
• Split Pair: Match the first and last number in the exact order drawn.
• Combo: All possible Straight combinations of your numbers.
3. Choose your wager amount. Different play types have different minimum and maximum wager amounts.
4. Mark your selections on a playslip or tell the retailer your choices.
5. Purchase your ticket.

Drawing Times:

Midday: Approximately 1:57 PM ET
Evening: Approximately 10:38 PM ET

Winning:

Match your numbers according to the play type you selected to win a prize. Payouts vary depending on the play type and wager amount.

Odds:

• Straight: 1 in 1,000
• Box (3-Way): 1 in 333.3
• Box (6-Way): 1 in 166.7
• Front, Split or Back Pair: 1 in 100
